The OmniTurn Expanded Input / Output (I/O) option provides sixteen inputs and 14 outputs to allow your OmniTurn lathe to interface with a variety of automation options.
The I/O is PLC controlled. The PLC communicates with the OmniTurn CNC by RS422 serial port, so the CNC can work synchronously with your automation as required.
The PLC is pre-loaded with a program for using a magazine-type bar-feeder with your OmniTurn. Additional M-functions to meet your specific automation needs can be easily written with the standard program editor or any off-line text editor.
