GT-Jr Splash-Guard and Interlock Switch

SPLASH GUARD

If you buy a used OmniTurn GT-Jr, test the operation of the splash-guard interlock.
The lexan splash-guard on GT-Jr is interlocked: cycle will not start if splash-guard is open; if splash-guard is opened during cycle, cycle will stop.

To quickly verify interlock:

• Apply power to the machine and set servos on.
• Press Esc key.

If interlock is operative, on current CNC the red Motion Stop lamp will light when splash-guard is lifted; on early CNC the Spindle Fault lamp (on spindle cabinet) will light with splash-guard lifted. These lamps should not be lit with guard in place.
